More Insurance and Packing
This is a happy story. It may not seem so at first, but keep reading.
I called the insurance company today to ask about the prescription (zofran) I have. It is just ridiculous and I wanted to be sure they were going to pay for the refill I am getting. The lady starts quoting me the whole $15 copay for a 30 day supply, to which I replied a little rudely, "2 pills a day for 30 days does not equal 24 pills!" So she said it must be on their limitations list. Duh. I already figured that one out. Then she informed me that if my doctor fills out a preautorization form they will cover a 30 day supply for my $15 copay!!!!!!!!!! Why did no one tell me this?! It isn't in the little booklet on benefits that Garage Games gave us. She also told me that the doctor can request it to be retroactive, which means I can send in my receipts and get reimbursed for the money we have spent on the pills they didn't cover! Yay! That is the best news I've heard in so long.
So I started packing for the long trip to the wedding today. I could only find one pair of underwear for Ashley. So I told Jeff we have to do more laundry. He was less than thrilled. He has done MOUNTAINS of laundry in the last week. You would think Ashley would have tons of clean undies. She did. She just "forgot" to put them away! So now there are more to pack, but we still have lots of laundry.
Jeff got the bins of clothes out of the garage earlier this week and we started switching the winter clothes for summer clothes. Ashley's room was done, but Natalie and Alona's room was another story. I had them take all of their dirty clothes to the laundry room today and then cleaned out all of the winter clothes. It is done. Now we just have to finish going through the laundry as we clean it. We might finish just in time to get the winter clothes back out! So I thought I was doing okay, I had energy (at least a little) and wasn't feeling sick. After all that moving around and working, I now have no energy and feel sick. :( Why is it that I am fine when I sit around and do nothing? Is being back to my normal self just too much to ask for? Hopefully I will get back to normal in 4 weeks!!!!!! I am really, really hoping! Maybe the wedding will take my mind off this feeling and I will be able to just have fun and enjoy my family. That is my plan for now!

Driving to Kansas
The kids and I are leaving for Charelly's wedding this weekend. It is a very busy weekend. The girls have dance recitals and practices. And Ashley has a piano recital. And I have an appointment with my doctor. Sixteen week check up. Four more weeks and I'll be halfway there! So we have a rehearsal on Thursday afternoon for Alona, doctor Friday morning, a birthday party Ashley wants to attend early Friday afternoon, Ashley's rehearsal Friday at 4:00, Ashley's piano recital Friday at 7:00, Alona's dance recital Saturday at 1:00, and Ashley's dance recital Saturday at 4:00. All while I have to pack the car for our 2 week road trip. Boy, is that a lot to do!
We will be leaving on Sunday morning. Jeff is flying out to meet us (saving 6 days of vacation by not driving with us). I was trying to find someone to go with us, but I guess that's not happening. Its a three day drive. I am dreading it. I am, however, very excited to see all of my family and attend the wedding!!!!! My doctor has instructed me to take breaks frequently when driving to avoid blood clots. I think I'll take that advice. I just hope I won't be too sick or tired. I get so tired lately. I will post when I get to Kansas! I plan to take many, many pictures while I am there.

Seattle (the bridal shower)
I went to Seattle last week to visit Charelly (Charles and Kelly) and attend Kelly's bridal shower. I took the train! I had never been on a train before, so it was a different experience for me. It was really late leaving Eugene. I only got in about 45 minutes late in Seattle, though. It was a nice relaxing visit with no kids!
I left Wednesday and got there at about 9:15 pm. Charles met me at the station and then we headed out to pick Kelly up from work. Her car was having some difficulties so Charles took her to work every day and then picked her up. It is quite out of his way and very thoughtful of him. After we got Kelly, we drove back to her house where I would be staying. It was late, so we went to bed.
Thursday, Charles had to get to class, so Kelly and I drove to downtown Seattle and did a little shopping at Gap Maternity (for me, not for Kelly). I found a cute dress for $15, a shirt for $5, a pair of jeans for $25, and a skirt and capris that were not so cheap! Oh well, the skirt will be perfect for the wedding and the capris are great in the summer weather. I also now have more than one outfit to wear this summer-always a good thing. We headed back to pick up Charles and fought traffic on our way to Royal India for dinner. I am a huge fan of Indian food, so I was excited. I had the lamb curry, as always. It was a nice evening and Charelly are very entertaining (always the jokers).
On Friday, Kelly and I went down to the public market (Pike's Place) in Seattle. Charles was making up a lab he missed a few days earlier. It was fun to hang out and be a "tourist" there. I took the camera and got some great pics of Kelly holding a huge salmon. We got some lemonade and $1 bread. I was looking for a doughnut vendor because the kids' pediatrician said there were some awesome cinnamon doughnuts that I just had to try. We found it about 8 minutes after it closed. Bummer. Charelly have promised to bring some the next time they visit.
That night was the bridal shower. It was a lot of fun. We played wedding memory and I won 3 prizes (3 matches). Kelly won 2, one of which was the groom for which they gave her a Big Hunk candy bar. I thought that was an appropriate one for her to get. We also made wedding dresses out of toilet paper. They also had tulle ribbon, tape, staplers and scissors (which I think is cheating, but oh well). Everyone was so creative. It was a great time with great food and awesome people! I am so glad I got to go.
Saturday, Charelly took me to the train station bright and early. We walked around downtown for about 15 minutes while we waited for the train to start boarding. It is always sad to leave them, but I was glad to get home to my kids and Jeff. Kelly said I should visit again, every day. Maybe she gets bored on her days off? But I will try to visit more often, after the honeymoon phase!
